2019 Arryman Fellows Symposium,Jakarta 21 June 2019 About the conference
International Symposium of Journal Antropologi Indonesia (ISJAI) is a highly prestigious interdisciplinary annual conference held by the Journal Anthropology Indonesia, a journal published by Department of Anthropology, Universitas Indonesia since 1969. Specifically, it is the biggest and well-known international conference of anthropology in Indonesia. Hundreds of presenters came from various countries, present their field works or research on Indonesia in this conference.


This year conference will be in Jogjakarta, hosted by Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and coordinated by both Universitas Indonesia (UI) and UGM. This year conference also holds a special meaning for the Arryman Program since 9 Arryman Scholars will participate as either panel conveners or presenters. The conference will be a great opportunity for the Arryman Program to showcase its scholars current research to the academic community in UGM and beyond. This proposal details the collective budget proposed to EDGS as well as the list of Arryman scholars and their role in the conference.


Dates and Place
The conference will be held at Faculty of Cultural Sciences Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta 23-26 July 2019.

Proposed Activities
Nine Arryman Scholars plan to participate in this conference both as presenters and panel conveners. We will really appreciate it if the Arryman program would covers our logistical expenses.
